4. AI Features and Third-Party AI Providers
Hiveku's chat and "AI departments" are powered by third-party AI providers, currently Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI, accessed via OpenRouter.
What we collect and send
When you use an AI feature, the content you submit — your chat messages, prompts, and the business context you provide (e.g., notes, documents, and account data you choose to include) — is transmitted to these AI providers to generate a response. We also send limited technical metadata (such as your account identifier) needed to route and meter the request.
How it's used
This data is used solely to operate the feature — to produce the AI's response to you. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your content, nor do our AI providers use it, to train their models. Our providers process this data on Hiveku's behalf under their enterprise/API terms, which contractually require confidentiality and data-protection commitments equivalent to those in this policy, and prohibit using API-submitted content for model training.
Your control
You consent to this processing the first time you use an AI feature in the app. You can stop using AI features at any time; you may also request deletion of your account and data as described in Account Deletion.
5. Information Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our platform, under strict confidentiality agreements.
Data Processors We Use
- Clerk — authentication and user identity management. Clerk processes your email, name, and identifiers to handle login, session management, and account security.
- AI providers — we use third-party AI services (including but not limited to Anthropic and OpenAI, accessed via OpenRouter) to power AI-assisted content generation, code suggestions, and conversational features. Your prompts and AI conversations may be transmitted to these providers solely for the purpose of generating responses. See AI Features and Third-Party AI Providers for full details.
- Cloud infrastructure — hosting, storage, and database services necessary to run the platform.
6. Third-Party Platform Data (Google & Meta)
Hiveku integrates with advertising and social platforms so you can manage your accounts from Hiveku. When you connect an account, you authorize Hiveku to access data from that platform on your behalf.
Google user data
When you connect Google Ads, Hiveku accesses your campaign, ad, and performance data and can create or modify campaigns at your direction via the Google Ads API. Hiveku's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use this data solely to provide advertising-management features to you within your Hiveku account; we do not sell it, transfer it except to provide the service or as required by law, or use it for advertising or to train generalized AI models. Revoke access anytime in Hiveku or at google.com/permissions.
Meta (Facebook/Instagram) data
When you connect a Facebook Page, Instagram account, or Meta ad account, Hiveku accesses and manages content, engagement, and advertising data on your behalf to provide publishing, analytics, and management features, in compliance with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. We use it only to provide these features and do not sell it. Disconnect anytime in Hiveku or your Meta settings.
Facebook and Instagram Data
When you connect a Facebook Page or Instagram account to Hiveku, we access and store information from Meta's platforms solely to provide our publishing and analytics services to you:
- Account details: your name and user ID, the Facebook Pages you manage, and the Instagram Business accounts connected to those Pages (
public_profile,pages_show_list,business_management,instagram_basic,instagram_business_basic). - Content and performance: your Pages' and Instagram accounts' posts and their engagement and insights metrics such as reach and impressions (
pages_read_engagement,pages_read_user_content,instagram_manage_insights). - Publishing: the ability to create, schedule, and delete posts on your Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts on your behalf (
pages_manage_posts,instagram_content_publish).
How we use it
We use this information only to display your connected accounts, publish and schedule the content you create, and show you performance analytics inside your Hiveku workspace. We do not sell your Meta data, use it to advertise to you, or share it with third parties other than the service providers that host our platform, and only as needed to operate the service.
Storage and security
Access tokens are stored encrypted at rest. We retain your Meta data only while your account is connected to Hiveku.
Revoking access and deleting your data
You can disconnect a Facebook or Instagram account at any time in Hiveku under Marketing → Social → Accounts, which immediately revokes our access and deletes the stored tokens. To request deletion of all Meta-derived data, see our Data Deletion instructions at hiveku.com/data-deletion or email privacy@hiveku.com. You can also remove Hiveku from your Facebook settings under Settings → Business Integrations.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
